На деревню дедушке

Mr Cash-in

I read your 'article' entitled 'Oscar for Litvinenko' in a 'newspaper' today. I have a couple of questions for you to think about:
If you have any children, what do you tell them about your job? What do you tell them about their government? What do you tell them about their future here? Do they know that their Papa has sold his soul and is participating in selling his country's future to the criminals and liars who, directly or otherwise, pay his salary?
Do they know that Papa has his nose stuck so far up the Kremlin's ass he probably knows what brand of toothpaste Putin uses?
Do they know that there are thousands and thousands of journalists exactly like their father, working for tabloids like Tvoi Dyen, who've given up their moral responsibility as journalists and are writing articles with no artistic or satirical or moral value whatsoever? Will they respect their father when they grow up, or will they revile him for his moral cowardice?
Has their father, a 'journalist', even taken the trouble to read 'FSB Bzrivayet Rossiyu'? Probably not. Probably because it's banned in their country. It's banned in the country where their father is a 'journalist', where their father makes empty jokes for people to read in the Metro.
When they grow up and have children, will they know why they can't read books like that in their country? Will their children even know there were books like that written?
And how will Dedushka Oleg look back at his life then?
Yours sincerely.

John
